Timothy Davy

Tim and his wife Shelley have been married for 40+ years, have 3 amazing sons, 2 beautiful daughters-in-law, and 7 wonderful grandchildren, and a sense of great joy in growing in Christ as a whole family. They came to Norfolk in 1982 because of their desire to be involved in the establishment and growth of Christ is King Community Church, being involved in team leading and establishing of Norfolk Family Medicine (a medical outreach of the church) in early 1983. Tim was an elder at CKCC for a decade in the 90s, fulfilled the role of ‘elder at large’ since then until again resuming the active eldership role 3 years ago. They have both been involved in mentoring and leading youth for many years, leadership development, and more recently in learning to build community. Shelley has a deep burden and passion for helping people establish solid foundations in their faith and relationship with Christ and with one another, and Tim’s calling centers in the joy of leading and developing others in their leadership capacity and experience. Both have been very involved in the community of Norfolk, Tim primarily through his medical practice, and Shelley through school-based grants and community prayer movements. We consider it a delight and a privilege to be a part of Christ is King and to engage in the leadership process with this wonderful local expression of Christ’s body; giving our lives to Jesus, to knowing him, and fulfilling his commission to make disciples.
