I am the Lead Pastor of CKCC. In that role, I work with the elders in setting vision for the church, directing the staff, and equipping key volunteers. I also do the majority of the preaching at CKCC.
I grew up in a small town in Iowa. After coming to know Jesus, I felt called to some type of full-time ministry. Through different experiences in college and seminary, God placed it on my heart to pastor in the local church.
I am married to Kristin, and we have two boys, Roman and Haddon. And a crazy dog named Splinter.
What is your favorite smell? Fresh paint.
Describe one experience where you had to take a huge step of faith. Kristin and I felt God calling us to become foster parents. We had never parented before and had no idea what we were doing. God was faithful, and we were only able to take in a little boy by relying on Him.
What is your favorite hobby to do in your free time? I don’t sit still. In my free time, I work on my house, my yard, or travel.
Favorite Cartoon Character? I’m a 90s kid, which means I spent a lot of time watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Of those, my favorite Turtle is Michelangelo because he’s always having a good time, even when things aren’t going well.
